Master academic studies of elections and electoral campaigns

By enrolling the master programme Elections and Electoral Campaigns students will get an opportunity to upgrade the existing and obtain the new theoretical and practical knowledge of political and electoral system, political organization, political sociology, psychology of political behavior, political communication and electoral campaigns, as well as to become familiar with different experiences and problems related to calling for and carrying out the elections and electoral campaigns. The obtained knowledge shall contribute for quality preparation of students for carrying out different and numerous tasks within public authorities, various political actors, research and other agencies, as well as in media dealing with elections and electoral campaigns.

The studies are organized in two semesters during which students attend lectures from mandatory courses – Elections and Electoral System of Serbia, Parties and Elections, Electoral Campaigns in Multiparty Serbia (1st semester) and Means and Forms of Communication with Voters (2nd semester). During the studies students choose three out of eight offered elective courses: two out of three in the first semester (Consolidation of Democracy in Post-Communist Societies, Internet and New Communication Technologies and Electoral Motivation and Media and Elections – regulatory aspects) and one out of four courses in the second semester (Political Life of Serbia, Rhetoric in Electronic Media and Moral and Politics and Cultural Patterns of Electoral Behavior).

At the end of the studies, students are obliged to register, write and defend their master papers.

The interview with the entrance commission shall be carried out based on the book by Prof. Zoran Slavujević Političko komuniciranje, politička propaganda, politički marketing (2009).
