Master academic studies of political analytics and social changes

The purpose of the master programme Political Analytics and Social Changes is to educate professionals trained for independent carrying out of various tasks in the field of political sciences and management of political and other social processes contributing the development of the society. This programme improves the existing and offer new theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the fields of political theory, political system, political sociology and analytics, political management, political organization, public policies and other similar academic disciplines. The programme enables students to become experts in analysis of political activities and processes.

Knowledge and skills acquired in this master programme shall enable students to engage into analytic tasks important for strategies and tactics within governmental institutions (legislative and executive), local authorities (municipalities and cities), state and public administration, political parties, media, specialized non-governmental organizations, institutes and agencies.

The master studies are carried out in two semesters during which students attend lectures from the following mandatory courses: Political Power (1st semester), Conflicts and Dialogue – Civil Society, Trade Unions and Strategies of Change and Political Life of Serbia (2nd semester). During the two semesters students chose the following courses within two electoral blocs: Institutions and Corruption, Parliamentarism and Models of Democracy, Political Parties and Ideologies, Elections and Electoral System of Serbia, Identity and Politics (1st bloc) and Moral and Politics, Electoral Campaigns in Multiparty Serbia, Political Regulation of Ethnic Conflicts and Relations (2nd bloc).

The head of the master programme is Prof. Slaviša Orlović. Teaching staff includes the following professors: Vukašin Pavlović, Čedomir Čupić, Zoran Stojiljković, Slaviša Orlović, Slobodan Marković, Milan Jovanović, Mirjana VAsović, Miloš Bešić, Zoran Slavujević, Siniša Tatalović and Dušan Spasojević (Assist. Prof.).

During the course the most prominent professors of the University of Belgrade shall give guest lectures about the topics from the offered syllabi.

Entrance examination is carried out through an interview with the commission.

This study programme was accredited in 2015.
