Master academic studies of social policy

This master programme offers the acquisition of knowledge of social phenomena and processes, social problems and ways for incenting social development and change, together with the knowledge of local, international and supranational dimensions of social policy.

The students will be trained for independent analytical-research work, in studying social problems and needs of social groups, planning and establishment of services and evaluation of effects of their work.

The studies are organized in two semesters. In the first semester students attend three compulsory and two elective courses. Compulsory courses are Analyses of Social Policies, Migration Policy and Final paper preparation. Elective courses are management of Social Work, Rights of Foreigners, Gender Equality Policies, Public Finances and Public Services and Local Economic Development.

In the second semester students attend two compulsory and one elective course. Compulsory courses are Globalization and Social Policy and Research in Social Policy and Social Work. Elective courses are Theories and Policies of Justice, Demographic Processes and Social Policy and Spatial Planning and Housing Policy.

At the end of studies student is obliged to write and defend his/her master paper.

Eligibility: candidates with 240 ECTS at completed accredited academic studies. Ranking will be done on the basis of average grade at BA studies, length of studies and interview with commission, for assessment of academic and professional experience of candidates related to programme, research intentions and knowledge of foreign languages.
