Master academic studies of environmental policy

The graduate academic studies of Environmental Policy enable students for exploration of a large number of political issues emerged as a consequence of contemporary environmental problems. From the aspect of institutions – how the political and economic structures react on environmental issues, and how should their responds and reactions become more efficient when it is about the environmental protection. Concept-wise, how different theoreticians, and different theories, understand environmental issues, and what different ideologies can offer to environmental policy. Sociological – what moves, maintains and motivates environmental movements and other political organizations dealing with environmental protection to start solving environmental problems. Politically, how the environmental policy is formulated, created and realized at the national, regional and international levels.

The studies are organized in two semesters. In the first semester, besides mandatory courses (Ecology, Society and Politics and Contemporary Environmental Policy and Sustainable Development), students can chose the following disciplines: Environmental Philosophy and Ethics, Environmental Law and Environmental Standards, Environmental Diversity, Analyses of Public Policies, Globalization and Contemporary Society. In the second semester, in addition to the mandatory course Environmental Policy of Serbia, the students attend the following electoral courses: Ecology and Economy, Environmental Security, Political Life of Serbia and Conflicts and Political Strategies of Changes. At the end of the studies the student registers his/her master thesis, write the paper and defend it publicly.

Vukašin Pavlović, Darko Nadić, Zoran Kinđić, Dejan Milenković, Ivica Radović, Snežana Đorđević, Slaviša Orlović, Zoran Stojiljković, Vera Arežina, Petar Đukić, Vesna Milojević and experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of the Republic of Serbia, Institute for Protection of Nature of the Republic of Serbia and the City Secretariat for Environment (Belgrade).

Entrance examination is done through an interview with the entrance commission.

The Head of the master studies Environmental Policy is Prof. Darko Nadić; the Secretary of the master studies Environmental Policy is Marko Vujić.
