Goals and outcomes

The goal

The course aims to provide students with academic writing skills, particularly for writing of the MA thesis application and MA thesis itself. The course will, primarily through practical classes, cover all elements of academic research and writing, from the formulation of the problem and research topic to the instructions for the writing of the thesis. All key elements of the thesis research and writing will be analysed as separate topics, which will enable students to successfully master academic writing as a necessary condition for successful completion of studies.

The outcome

At the end of the course students will be able to:
- Design and conduct research for the purpose of MA thesis writing;
- Write the application for the MA thesis and the MA thesis itself;
- Write other types of academic papers.
