Circle U.
Project Description
The University of Belgrade is a member of the European university alliance Circle U. The alliance was established within the framework of the European University Initiative and the development of European inter-university campuses implemented by the European Commission.
In addition to the University of Belgrade, the alliance includes the following universities: Aarhus University (Denmark), Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany), King’s College London (United Kingdom), KU Leuven (Belgium), the University of Oslo (Norway), and the University of Paris (France).
Circle U. Academic Chairs consist of academic staff whose work connects all seven universities through joint activities within the planned framework. Each university appoints five chairs during the initial period 2021 - 2023, resulting in a total of 35 engaged teachers and researchers in the initial phase of the alliance’s development. The Academic Chairs will encourage new models of university cooperation and partnership to be developed across the universities within Circle U.
