Феминизам и демократија

Циљеви изучавања предмета

Курс треба да уведе кључне појмове савремене феминистичке и демократске политичке теорије. Ове појмовне целине обрађују се проблемски уз анализу савремених политичких теорија главног тока. Проблеми ће бити анализирани тако да се најважнији политички феномени везани за питања рода поставе у перспективу различитих теорија демократије: либералне, делиберативне, демократије разлике, радикалне и агонистичке, партиципативне, локалне демократије и теорије новог муниципализма. Циљ предмета је да се објасни традиционално одсуство жена из начина на који се конципира политичко, заједница, држава и нација, јавност, грађанство и представљање али и да се укаже на предлоге различитих теорија демократије како се може уважити значај и унапредити положај жена, односно начин на који је могуће укључити жене у демократске политичке процесе: како у њихово осмишљавање тако и спровођење.

Исходи учења (стечена знања)

Студенти и студенткиње треба да усвоје знања о проблемима савремене феминистичке и демократске политичке теорије, као и да развију моћ разумевања и тумачења појава које их окружују. Кроз рад на вежбама које су конципиране у форми анализе кључних текстова из ове области, студенти и студенткиње развијају способност критичког приступа тексту и појмовима, с једне стране, и проблемима са питањима рода у окружењу, с друге стране.

Садржај теоријске наставе

Пол, политика и политичко; род и сексуалност у изградњи државе и нације; јавно и приватно; жене и грађанство; прерасподела и признање; проблем представљања жена; делиберативна демократија; демократија разлике као критика делиберативне демократије; радикална и агонистичка демократија и агонистички феминизам; партиципативна демократија и феминизам; локална политика, муниципализам и феминизација политике, феминистички активизам на постјугословенском простору.
