Engleski jezik 3 (C1/a)

Ciljevi izučavanja predmeta

Kurs profesionalnog i akademskog engleskog jezika (English for Specific Purposes: The Language of Politics and International Relations) na CEF nivou C1. Uvođenje vokabulara struke. Podjednako zastupljene sve četiri jezičke veštine. Pisanje prevoda, gramatička i stilistička obrada teksta.

Ishodi učenja (stečena znanja)

Očekuje se da studenti ovladaju tehnikom prevođenja stručnih i novinskih tekstova sa engleskog na srpski i sa srpskog na engleski jezik, kao i tehnikom pisanja sažetaka naučnih i stručnih radova. Studenti treba da komuniciraju na engleskom jeziku koristeći adekvatan registar, primeren temama i situacijama. Očekuje se da studenti budu osposobljeni da komuniciraju na engleskom jeziku na CEF nivou C1a.

Teorija prevođenja; kontrastivna analiza; jezički registri i stilovi.
Teme: The United Nations Organization; Defining a new role for the United Nations;Human Rights; International Law; The Post-Cold-War World; Chardonnay Diplomacy; Facing Facts on Iraq; Roses and Reality in Georgia; Journalists in Iraq, Yahoo Betrays Free Speech, The European Union: origins and development; Institutional Structure of the EU at the Supranational Level and at the National Level; OSCE; NATO; World Leaders; Facing Reality on Europe’s Immigrants; From Central Europe, a Spreading Drug Scourge; A Debate on Cultural Identity; Letters:of accreditation and of recall; Note of protest; Cease-fire Agreement; On Torture And American Values.

Prevođenje tekstova, pisanje sažetaka, prezentacije studenata i razgovori na date teme.
